Roof Inspection Services Fees
Our Roof Inspection Services Fees vary depending on how much time we spend performing our Roof Inspection Services, researching and acquiring additional information/documents if needed, and writing our Roof Inspection Report. Time spent performing our Roof Inspection Services is dependent on:
- Type of Roof Inspection Service requested: Condition of Roof Inspection or Hail/Wind Damage Roof Inspection or Mid-Roof Inspections, or Final Roof Inspection or writing our RFP/Guidelines (See our Roof Inspection Services web page for more information)
- Type of structure: Single Family Home or Townhome Unit or Townhome or Condominium Building(s) or Apartment Building(s) or Commercial Building(s)
- The size of the structure or structures
- What type(s) of roof covering(s) there are to be inspected
- How steep the roof slopes are
- How simple or how complex the roof slopes are
- The location of the job address
- If it passes our Roof Inspection or has minimal corrections, or if there are many mistakes or problems observed (the more mistakes/problems observed the more photos are taken and the longer it takes to write our Inspection Report)
- If the written Inspection Report contains photos or not. Photos are generally needed with all of our inspections for better communication between us and Property Owners and/or their Board of Directors, Contractors, Insurance Companies, even City and County Building Departments, and for documentation in case there is a dispute/litigation or for future insurance claims

Example
of one of our Roof Inspection Service Fees
for
performing our Final Roof Inspection on a:
- Single Family Home
- Less than 1500 square feet
- Asphalt Shingles
- Walkable roof slope of 6/12 roof pitch or less
- One story easy access
- 20 miles from our office
- Contractor has Passed our Mid-Roof Inspections on this new roof covering installation
- Has just a few minor corrections that need to be completed
- Written Roof Inspection Report does contain a few photos
Our
Roof Inspection Service Fee for performing our Final Roof Inspection
on a Single Family Home with the criteria similar to the above would be in
the range of $485.00 to $770.00
Our Roof Inspection Service Fee range could be more if any of the criteria above changes. When you contact us please provide the address of where you are contemplating the installation of a new roof covering. We use Bing or Google maps to find out how far your location is from our office and the aerial and street views will give us a good idea what the roof slopes look like, how steep they are, and how difficult they will be to access and inspect. With additional information you give us we will be able to provide you with a written Proposal for our Roof Inspection Services.
Additional information for all Inspections
For all our Roof Inspection Services we will communicate to the Property Owners and/or their Board of Directors with written Inspection Reports and/or written RFP/Guidelines and/or Contractor Comparison Spreadsheet, and other communications by e-mail.
If access to the roof is more than two stories in height, a safe ladder or other means of access to the roof must be provided by the Property Owners and/or their Board of directors requesting our Roof Inspection Services or we will invoice for the cost for a Ladder Set Company to set a ladder or other means of access for us to safely access the roof areas
A minimum trip charge of $250.00 (more is possible if outside a 40 mile radius from our office) may be assessed if we cannot gain safe access to the roof upon arrival due to unfriendly dogs, the roof is wet, the roof has too much snow or ice on it, the height is over two stores and no safe access is provided, etc.
Consulting and Litigation Fees
Our Standard Consulting Fee is $350.00 for the first half hour and $190.00 per hour after that.
At this time, we are not taking on any work that could lead to litigation.
Our focus is on working with Property Owners and/or their Board
of Directors
before any roofing work begins,
instead of getting involved after the fact.
However, if for some reason we are brought into any litigation, our Standard Litigation Fee for any litigation service including mediations, arbitrations, depositions, court appearances, expert witness, etc. is $350.00 per hour. There is a minimum charge of $350.00 for the first half hour of preparation for any type of litigation. If the preparation takes more time, it will be billed at the rate of $350.00 per hour.
The Fees listed above are subject to change at any time.
Payment of Invoice
Payment in full is due upon completion of each of our Roof Inspection Services and receipt of our written Communications and Invoice for each Roof Inspection Service. We are sorry, but at this time we do not accept credit cards.
